FINDING GOD IN SILENCE

We need to find God,

and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness.

God is the friend of silence.

See how nature—trees, flowers, grass—grows in silence;

see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…

We need silence to be able to touch souls.

So inspirational and it feels so true. I love my still hours in the morning and evening spent in worship. Great post.

So true, Diane. In everything I've read about feeling God's Presence, silence is a key element. Beautiful post.

Janna, T. Anne and Denise,
I wish I could compose a beautiful quote like this. I guess it's okay if I just pass along the good ones.

Elijah found God in a still small voice, not in the cacophony of noise. In our day, to be in silence must be a conscious choice. Thank you for the encouragement Diane.

I used to think a "quiet time" was me talking to God. Now I realize it's me listening to Him. Me: quiet.
